Bubba completed what is known as the Iowa Freedom Rock® Tour in 2021, but, many folks were still reaching out to see if Bubba could paint murals and rocks for them in Iowa... and although they're not official Freedom Rocks®, Bubba’s work is created in the same style. Bubba is used to challenging surfaces but has experience painting on rocks, walls, brick, wood and now concrete and headstone.

The Freedom Rock® is a registered trademark owned by Bubba and Maria Sorensen and the original Freedom Rock®, created by Bubba, sits 12 miles north of Greenfield, IA in Adair County, and is re-painted every May with different stories and themes in honor of our Veterans service and sacrifice for Memorial Day. The 99 County (Iowa) Freedom Rock® Tour (completed) created by Bubba Sorensen, honoring military Veterans and their stories by illustrating them on large boulders (or rocks), specific to each Iowa County. The 50 State Tour (still ongoing) is the goal of completing at least one Freedom Rock® in all 50 states in the USA.

To offer a custom mural and rock options in Bubba’s signature style of work.  Skys the limit, but Bubba is obviously known for honoring  Veterans, Military or Patriotic, but excited to expand into Businesses or Schools looking to spruce up an area or show pride in their organization. 

It doesn't have to be a rock, in fact, rock is the most unstable and unpredictable surface. We also have panel, stone and fiberglass options, but Bubba has painted many wall murals inside and out and is available for booking those as well... his schedule books fast, and he's only one guy, so contact Maria ASAP!

Yes. Although, because he is asked so frequently, there is a base fee and depending on distance there will be travel and possible overnight stay fee on top of the base fee. The speech includes a 25-30 min speech with a powerpoint visuals of his art and journey to becoming The Freedom Rock® artist, and he can do a question/answer following his speech.
